Name change tutorial!

You are able to change your preferred name in Miami's systems. 

It will change your displayed name on:

• Miami gmail account*

• Canvas profile and in course posts*

• Miami Merit page

  • NOTE: Your Merit page will show past name changes as well, if there is an article listed at that time​

• Dean's List/President's list notifications

  • NOTE: This will appear on physical mail sent to your listed permanent address​

It will not change your displayed name on:

• Bannerweb

*these two might take a while to be registered, so don't be alarmed if the name change doesn't occur immediately!
