Via Miami's official website:

"Gender Inclusive Housing is defined as a housing assignment in which two or more students share a room or apartment regardless of each students’ birth-assigned sex, legal gender or gender identity. Gender Inclusive Housing is open to all students whose needs are not met by our traditional housing assignment process that assigns roommates who are the same legal sex (male students with male students and female students with female students) on their housing application. This option supports the university's non-discrimination policy that includes sexual orientation and gender identity/expression."

LHP is one of Miami University's Living Learning Communities. You can request to join a community at any point when living in dorm housing at Maimi.

"The Love. Honor. Pride. Affinity Community is a space for LGBTQIA+ students and their allies during their residential experience at Miami. Students within this community will have opportunities to explore multiple identities, connect to LGBTQ+ Initiatives and student organizations, and build community. This community supports students in choosing (or being placed with) a roommate of any gender."
